Coming Soon: Another Tooth

Dex's Tuesday fussiness can officially be attributed to another tooth.  As of Wednesday night, he had another bump, next to the tooth he already has.  Let's hope this one is speedy!

 

Outta my way!

Grandma Michele came to visit Dex today, and he demonstrated how speedy he is with his crawling and his 'walking' in his round-about.  He was pretty fussy at times, so I think another tooth is on it's way.

I got this picture earlier in the day just after he'd demolished a teething biscuit.  The other shows the damage he's done to his Sesame Street 'remote control' with his super sharp tooth nubbin.

Happy weekend

Dex braved his flu shot booster like a champ on Friday, and didn't even cry!  Afterwards, Dan had to go to work so Aunt Nancy watched Dex, and Cousin Lisa and Cousin David came to visit too.  He was a little groggy after the shot, and he slept the whole night without waking up!

Saturday we did get to go behind the scenes at the zoo, and into the actual sea lion pavilion to feed them.  Dan held Dex while I fed them some fish, but the juggling act of camera, baby, and purse, with one hand covered in fish juice, and it being a windy day, resulted in less pictures than planned. 

Saturday and Sunday he got a chance to play in his new round-a-bout, since I had some time to put it together after he went to bed on Friday.  He's a fan!  We've already got a bunch of video of him going around, but I'm holding out for a good one of him being chased by Dan, around and around.  It's great.

Poor little guy got a little overheated on Saturday, so he was definitely happy to get a bath in his new tub.  He had his first encounter with sunscreen, and also a fan (which he was VERY excited about) so there were all sorts of firsts this weekend. :)

Oh, and the latest trend is to either poop 3 times a day, or not at all.  He likes to keep us on our toes!

 

 

 

Have a good weekend

Despite this being a morning post, his nighttimes have gotten more manageable again.  Only 1 or two wakeups, close to when Dan goes to sleep, or when i wake up.  So of course things will change any day now :)

Dex goes for his flu shot booster this morning with Dan, and then he's spending the afternoon with Aunt Nancy as Dan has to go into work to finish a project.

 

We definitely have some exciting plans in the works for this weekend!  See you Monday!

Dex gets his own remote control

It came!  And his lil chomper already scratched the paint off one of cookie monster's eyeballs :)

He's now no longer content to be in the exersaucer, as he can't go anywhere.

Hi Everyone!

Today, mom took me to Target where amongst some other boring things, she bought a new pair of flip flops (for me to chew on of course) and also some teething biscuits.  I could not have been happier!  I'm still not going to give her a good shot of my tooth though.  I'm shopping around the rights to a couple of other blogs.  ;)

Dex woke up six times over the course of Sunday night.  He got pretty grumpy with Becky during the day, and I don't know what his problem is this time. Guessing the tooth is making more progress, and he's probably got more brewing.

 

This evening Dan had to head out to after-hours care as he had been bitten by a tick (!!!) and Dex wasn't real interested in letting me eat dinner or do anything other than play with him.  His latest game is wanting to stand and rotate himself around his bouncer, rather than going in it.  It's a great bicep workout. ;)

He also hasn't had much of a poop in 2 days, despite 2 meals of fruit, along with some prune juice today.  I'm already anticipating a rough day with him tomorrow, but maybe he'll suprise me.  Goodnight!

Another weekend...and thousands of smiles and kisses

Dex's tooth still hasn't made an appearance that's camera-worthy, but we got lots of other good shots this weekend.

His favorite things these days?  Cordless phones, remote controls, and of course, shoes.  Oh, and anything he shouldn't play with! :)

Dad took him to visit Grandpa Matt on Saturday, and he got to sit on a bulldozer.  He also spent a lot of time travelling around town in his new car seat.  We brought the collapsible stroller when we ran errands, as he's still not a fan of riding in a shopping cart. 

He also got a bath in his new tub, now that he's way too splashy for the kitchen sink.  His new game is that while he's ok at crawling, he's decided that's old news, and he just wants to walk.  He's clinging to the couch, and anything else that he can support himself on, and is pretty good with taking a few steps when you hold his hands and support him. 

I still can't believe how much he changes each day.  I have to keep reminding myself to enjoy the days where we seem to have figured things out, and not stress over a string of bad ones, because he'll change again soon enough.  :)
